Fantastic. We visited mid November on a weekday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy. The Autumn colours were fantastic. There were still plenty of people around doing the bouldering courses but we still had plenty of moments of peace and quiet.

Les Sables du Cul du Chien sont un vrai petit coin de paradis au cœur de la forêt de Fontainebleau. Le paysage est unique, avec ces grandes étendues de sable blanc qui donnent une ambiance presque désertique, entourées de rochers impressionnants et de pins majestueux. C’est le spot idéal pour une balade dépaysante, une séance d’escalade ou tout simplement pour profiter du calme et de la beauté du lieu. Accessible après une courte marche, le site vaut vraiment le détour. Pensez à prendre de l’eau et de bonnes chaussures si vous voulez explorer les environs. Un incontournable pour les amoureux de la nature et les amateurs de grimpe ! 🌿⛰️

Absolutely amazing. Just 50 I'm from Paris, this is a paradise for walking, trekking, bike and any sort of in-the-nature activity. It's very challenging finding a car park space when you arrive late, so beware.

Depending on the traffic, it takes about 1h15 from Paris. It is very surprising to see a space that looks like a sandy beach so far from the sea... The forest around is beautiful, the rocks have strange shapes and there are plenty of trails...
