The Elephant's Rock is a large boulder of trachyte and andesite, eroded by the atmospheric agents that gave it the shape of an elephant. It is about 4 meters high. The rock is located near Castelsardo, Sardinia, to the left of the old road that led from the hamlet of Multeddu to the village of Sedini.

Well worth a visit as there are plenty of paths to walk. The strange (to non-geologists out there) rock formations are rather like an artwork especially the elephant! Park on the public car park and maybe visit the wash house on the way back.You may see people using the place to practice rock climbing. Watch out for the lizzards!

My daughters of 6 and 12 had an amazing time climbing the rocks and walking through the forest. Really nice and quiet place where some rock climbers are practicing. You have a steep slope on one end and a less inclined one on the other side which is easily accessible for everyone from where you have an amazing view

Essentiellement un site d'escalade, mais nous étions venu pour faire un pique-nique pour sortir de l'autoroute. Le lieu est reposant, et la vue sympa même si l'on ne fait pas d'escalade. Aucun soucis pour se garer a l'ombre, le parking est grand. On peut remplir sa gourde avec de l'eau sur place a l'entrée du parking.

Amazing rock formations. Very sandy so bring a towel or carpet for your feet. Easy to get around....
