A lovely walk around the William Christie Gardens in Thiré on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The formal gardens are well laid out and contain lots of interesting varieties of plants - including some particularly fragrant roses. Arrivés là comme deux fans des arts florissants qui ont fait le crochet sur la route des vacances pour voir la maison du Maitre, nous avons été immédiatement séduits. La maison du Maître est magnifique, comme ses annexes (pigeonnier par exemple), mais ce sont LES jardins qui marquent nos souvenirs, par leurs diversités et la qualité de l'entretien.
