This tower was closed when we visited, but even if it is I would recommend the short walk up,( which is signed) just for the spectacular views. You can walk the grassy ramparts and up the steps and around tower base. Today was hazy in the distance but still looked beautiful. You can drive up the narrow roads as their is a small carpark, but be careful if a big vehicle as one round takes you to a dead end and narrow between houses. It does look very well renovated.
