Beautiful setting, activities to do but when it is really hot just sitting about in the sun on sand by a massive lake is the tops. They have a bit of a bar/food outlet, not tried but prices reasonable. Quieter areas of beach available if you walk a little but also a more public area nearer the bar/food outlet which is also lovely if you want to socialise. Restricted bathing area for children by the looks of things. All in all a beautiful little place. Near by camp-sites/village with disco and even (Aug 2016) an Indian Restaurant....

From all the beaches at Lac de Vassivière, I think this is the most beautiful. Lots of parking space, good restaurant and nice sandy beach to linger all day. Spent a full day here and was not dissapointed. This place offers enough opportunities to go out swimming, canoeing,...
