Chemin des Cimes Alsace — Attraction in Haguenau-Wissembourg

Accessible with a tchu-tchu train (free shuttle) from the parking lot to the entrance of the site. The whole pathway is wheelchair accessible as well. The architecture is stunning, blends into the landscape and wood was used as much as possible. Book on-line and go straight in with your QR code. If you want to use the toboggan at the end, make sure you buy the extra ticket (2 euros) at the entrance. Hopefully one day will they come up with the booking of the toboggan on line as well. Start by following the sign "lookout" then backtrack and follow the rest of the pathway that will lead you to the "tower". The incline is minimal so everyone can do it, even wheelchairs. All along the pathway, many interesting info about animals, the eco-system, etc... in 3 languages (French, German and English). Just keep flipping the info board to change the language. Once on top, more info about what you see in the distance. We were lucky enough to see the spire of the Strasbourg's cathedral, the whole of the Alsace Valley and the Black Forest. Potentially nice view late fall and winter. We went there mid October and leaves were not yet colorful. The walk is relatively short. Single ticket is 15 Euro which is not bad since the parking is free of charge and in addition there is also free of charge transport every 30 minutes. I guess overcrowded in summer time but you can also walk. To slide from the view tower down, you have to pay additional 2 Euros that for me is a bit much for almost nothing. Toilet are on the top and near parking place. They are clean and free of charge. The little restaurant up there could be rated 2 stars only. Hot chocolate was just a water with minimum amount of powder so did not taste as it should. Pommes-frites with hairs inside were the only thing they served that day. Disgusting! So, best just bring...

Les plus : Grand parking bien situé en bas de la colline. Navette et/ou petit train qui vous emmène directement à quelques dizaines de mètres de la tour. Chemin pédestre qui traverse la forêts pour monter à la tour à pieds (peut potentiellement convenir au poussettes si elles ont l'options 4x4 + prévoir +1h pour la montée) Restauration sur place -Boutique de souvenir et toilettes propres -Chemin de la tour ludique et attrayant avec des mini attractions et quizz -Parc aventure pour les enfants... Personnel accueillant et bienveillant !

MAIS : Les moins : Parc aventure FERME et non précisé sur le site (ni pourquoi, ni date de réouverture :P ), très bien pour frustrer les enfants petits comme grands. PRIX : TOUT SE PAYE A PART ATTENTION ! ( entrées 1 prix + descente de la tour en toboggan 1prix + les repas sur place = CHAQUE CHOIX DEMANDE SE PAYE A PART : exemple - 1saucisse+frites+boisson+café+dessert = chaque article est facturé entre 3 et 4€ pièces donc presque une quinzaine d'euros :P) une DEMI-JOURNÉE à 3 personnes nous est revenu à : 99 euros juste pour monter sur une tour et en redescendre et manger un tout petit peu puis se retaper 1h de route pour rentrer.

Personnellement, je trouve ce site beau certes, mais cela reste du piège à touristes au vu des prix prohibitifs pour l'entrée par rapport à ce qu'il y a à voir. Si je veut voir du paysage et m'instruire en même temps et en payant, autant faire le château du Haut-Koenigsbourg et si vous préférer la forêts en gratuit avec panorama, autant aller au Mont Ste Odile et/ou au château du...
