Amazing cave with such unusual rock / deposit formations inside. If I remember, we descended about 50m and took the 1 hour tour. We had the electronic pre-recorded translators with location numbers to tell us more about different parts of the cave - but we missed out on the jokes and extras that the guide gave in French. He said a few words in English at the start ("Sorry, I can't translate..." and he said "goodbye" at the end). We felt a bit disappointed, but understand that it is us who should learn more French.
I would recommend these caves and the short tour - but be careful - lots and lots of steps, small low-light passageways and the tour...
Read moreA few things to be aware of but the attraction itself is brilliantly done! There are a lot of steps so those with poor mobility will find it challenging. The tour is in French but you get a translation device thats about the size of a mobile phone to carry and there are well posted signs which tell you which recoding to listen to. The cave is just fascinating especially if you like geology. Parking, the welcome and the fact we didn’t need to books was great. Read moreWe visited in July and they had two guided tours per hour. There were no line and after buying the tickets we only had to wait 20 minutes for the next tour.
If you don’t speak French they give you a small speaker with the whole tour in your own language. This worked very well, only we were not aware that we should have listened to number 1 before going into the cave.
The tour was interesting and the small light and music show was very nice as well. Beware that there are a lot of steep and slippery steps in the cave, so use proper footwear.
