An interesting and unique tour and not something I thought I'd ever do. It's one of those things that you'll either really like or not, kind of like marmite.
This is a tour of the worlds largest dairy museum. You get an end to end tour on all things dairy. From old machines to the cheese making process. I found most interesting areas where they show how packaging (e.g. Milk cartons) and machines have evolved over time. Literally thousands of these thing from different countries.
Finally you're taken through all of the Lacatalis brands from old Camembert packaging to new brands. Again very cool. Though there were some semi scary mascots.
Then finally cheese tasting at the end. An array of three different types of cheese with chutney. Free cheese is always good but this isn't a fancy sit down where it's explained to you. Just eat it! The tour then ends in the shop where you.m can buy all the dairy in the world. Decent prices for Camembert, and they had a couple that are not sold in supermarkets.
All in all interesting tour. The couple knocks on it are it is in French. They give you translated English paper to read but not ideal. The tour guide was however very nice to answer questions in English. Second is timings for the tour are not frequent. Make sure you call in ahead of time, otherwise you may not have a tour!
Worth checking out if you're in Laval. You will not have many opportunities to do this...
