An Mao is an exceptionally unique retreat with a very special host, Pierre Yves. The cabin is in a veto quiet and secluded spot, perched on the mountain side with breathtaking views to the sea. Pierre Yves is a very warm and thoughtful host who conducted the entire garden tour for us in English from his carefully written notes. He is a writer with a deep, introspective soul.

The magical garden that he lovingly cares for is a treasure trove of herbal medicines. He is very passionate about explaining their uses. The accommodation itself is cozy, well-appointed, clean and impeccably maintained. The food was delicious, and Pierre Yves' attention to detail made for a truly special experience.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons rencontré Pierre-Yves qui nous a expliqué toute la passion et l’amour qu’il a mis dans chaque détail de ce lieu magique et chargé d’histoire.

Pierre-Yves, votre accueil est aussi généreux que votre jardin est sublime : vous avez pris le temps de nous raconter votre histoire ainsi que celle de vos ancêtres, vous nous avez expliqué en détail vos aménagements, vous avez créé ce havre de paix de vos propres mains, nous avons été extrêmement touchés par votre histoire de vie.

C’est bien plus qu’un simple jardin, c’est une œuvre d’art vivante, un hommage à la nature et à la résilience.

Merci infiniment pour votre gentillesse, votre patience et pour nous avoir transmis votre histoire aussi touchante qu’inspirante.
