Well worth a visit if you want to get an overview of the facts about WW1. I thought this very informative musem. It's location is tucked away back from main road and you might easily drive past with noticing it is there. We did initially. Free Entry. Be prepared to do a lot of standing though as I did not notice any chairs inside. Fantastic displays and very well laid out in chronological progression through WW1. I paid €3 for an Audioguide. An all black building outside and inside showcases the history and horrors of the Great War. Lots of films, texts, artifacts on display collated mainly local conflicts. Because of the dim lighting the vast reading can be very trying especially if one has vision issues. Many war cemeteries abound in the local area so this museum is a fitting tribute...

Très beau musée qui présente le déroulement de la Première Guerre mondiale sur les terres du Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Cartes animées, photographies, films d’époque, cartes interactives, armes, munitions, objets divers, artisanat des tranchées, photographies aériennes, costumes, casques...

Conçu par l’architecte Pierre-Louis Faloci, le bâtiment se structure en cubes noirs ou "chapelles"... le sujet est articulé en grands thèmes : guerre de mouvement, système des tranchées, offensives meurtrières, occupation, offensives de 1918 et mort au front, destructions et reconstructions des nombreuses communes dévastées de la frontière Belge à la Somme, dont beaucoup furent littéralement anéanties. Entrée gratuite, accueil sympathique, audioguide peu coûteux, parkings, petite boutique bien fournie. Prendre le temps d'y déambuler en songeant aux pertes et aux souffrances de cette terrible période ......
