Plage des Dames — Attraction in Les Sables-d'Olonne

Surprising beach... Crystal clear waters and shadows because of rocks and trees. Lots of shells to hunt, shallow waters and hardly any waves. Great for kids. The main beach can be crowded, both sides are more quiet. Come early if you want to park (for free) in the streets before the beach entrance - do not try to park at the beach entrance - its nearly impossible to find a spot. There's a free bus between the beach and Noirmoutier-en-l'Île back and forth every 15 minutes. Definitely a beach to visit...

Mixed feeling. Beautiful and very scenic beach and pier. Very busy in the summer and unfortunately many cigarette butts and pieces of glass in the sand as well as sharp sea shells. (I cut my feet on glass and on a shell) Trash bins are quite far away which might explain the littering. Parking is very difficult . Toilets in...

Visited in early June and were finally blessed with some lovely weather. Wide sandy beach, we enjoyed a walk and the views back to the mainland.

There are a couple of restaurants and a snack bar above the beach.
