Ok, so the pictures on their website are misleading as you are not staying in the chateau pictured, but in the wing accessed by a completely separate entrance. Looked like a converted stable? Very well done and nice and secluded though. There is free parking, excellent and a surrounding garden with chairs, tables to sit and eat at, and to relax. There are four rooms in this wing and we stayed in the red room. Very nicely decorated, spotless and very big. Great big bathroom with a bath and over the top shower, not great for the guys though, powerful shower so ideal for me to wash my hair. Built in Hairdryer useless so bought my own locally. Loads of towels in the room supplied. They don't like you eating in the room, not an issue as the weather was superb so ate in the local restaurants and in the garden but they do have a kitchenette which I think you can eat in. Not much in the local village so need transport, only a small convenience store and bar, no restaurant, although there are two a 5/10 minute drive away in Montagne and Pusseguin. All places to see just a short drive, St Emilion, well worth the 15 minute drive through the vineyards, and great scenic drive for 1 1/2 hours from Pommerol to Pauillac. |Emmanuelle the housekeeper was great and came to do breaksfast and clean the rooms and although didn't speak English she was very helpful and was absolutely brilliant in ensuring we were happy and everything was ok. |Great value for money if you want no frills and great French experience. Would definitely stay again if I knew the weather was good, otherwise you are limited...

Read moreThe score on this establishment isn't due to lack of cleanliness or sub-par rooms, more because what we expected from pictures/websites and what we actually experienced are worlds apart. ||Firstly when we originally booked we expected a tour of the chateau on arrival - confirmed by email. We later found this to be a mistake (despite this being a main reason for booking) however the staff offered a tour of a linked chateau instead which wasn't exactly one of the most inspiring wine tours, however I digress. ||When we arrived at the chateau we expected a grand entrance stunning grounds and accommodation on the right wing as described. However, on arrival we ended up in a gravel stable yard, staying in a coach house with overgrown grounds. Our view rather than the picturesque one shown on the website was actually a car park and a woodshed. ||Whilst the accommodation itself was satisfactory it really wasn't anything like what we were expecting either in setting or location. ||To the owners please realign your photos and descriptions with reality, visitors it's a fine place to stay but don't go there expecting a chateau, a view or...
