We had a great experience walking through the family-owned estate and vineyards of Chateau Mauvinon with Caroline, who took the time to explain the process - in English nonetheless! It felt like visiting with a close friend who is passionate about wine-making and conservation. Everything is organic with no sulfites added, and you can taste the purity in their wines through which the fruity aromas shine. Even though Bordeaux is known for reds, Chateau Mauvinon also produces whites which we ended up loving even more. The terrace is beautiful as well and offers great views of the vineyard. All in all a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend!

We had a great time at Chateau Mauvinon despite the wet weather. The young ladies in the tasting room were very friendly and welcoming. They were also very knowledgeable about the wine making process as we discovered on our 1 hour tour of the vineyard, winery and cellar. You can also just rock up and have a tasting if you’re pressed for time and can’t do the tour. The wine is also excellent and of course we left with some. Possibly most impressive is the lengths they are going to to maintain their organic status. We also loved the pigs and the pig chase 😂

Château Mauvinon is a wonderful place to visit if you’re looking for an authentic and intimate wine experience. It’s a small, family-run vineyard that produces organic and biodynamic wines, which makes the visit even more interesting. Learning about their sustainable winemaking process was truly insightful.

The wine tasting was also very enjoyable, you could choose between tasting a white and a red wine, or two reds. All the wines were delicious, and the guide did a great job explaining everything clearly. A great stop for anyone visiting the...
