We came here from nearby Ouistreham for a bit of peace and quiet. There's a huge parking lot in the north, which was a good place to drop our car. Walked south from here on the paved track, since we had our pet stroller with us. There are several other - and possibly more interesting - paths leading through the big reserve. But most of them have sandy parts, not suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. So we stayed on the paved path. The walk itself was nice, but didn't have really any views and was side by side with the main road for the most part. But for a walk it was fine. Besides all the birds in the area there are many many interesting plants and flowers. Some I've never even seen before.
At the southern end there is a watchtower. That was very nice, overseeing the reserve. From there we headed back to the parking lot. You could do a whole loop, but the sand did stop our plans again.
