This was our main family holiday.|We stayed in our own tent in the area between the lake and pool/bar area.|We had stayed at another Yelloh (Lac de 3 Vallees) last year and the great experience there had led us to book with Yelloh again.|The site is well maintained and clean.|The location is excellent close to a beautiful natural lake and a pretty village with a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops including 3 medium sized supermarkets.|Previous reviews mention a lot of noise on site, we did not find this the case and entertainment was stopped by 11pm or before every night we were there, although we did have some bad weather that might have affected this.|There were a couple of nights where we had largish groups of young men or women camping near us who were noisy and security did attend. |A minor irritation was the ‘Crazy dance’ Kids disco at 8pm which played the same 6-7 songs in the same order, pretty loud, every night which did get a bit wearing by the second week.|The nearby shower/toilet blocks were clean but we noticed that the ‘new’ wooden shower blocks had always run out of hot water each time we went to use them, the older block had warm water but the showers themselves were not as nice.|I would point out (like a lot of French campsites) hand washing facilities near toilet blocks are not great. In this particular case the soap/Hand gel dispensers had been empty for over a week by the time we left.|The pool complex is clean and pleasant. The ‘Speedo’ trunks rule IS rigorously enforced here. |We were here in high season and in truth the pool feels a little too small for the number of users, especially as ball games and inflatables are allowed. This is fine as it is a family resort, but be prepared to get the odd stray ball on your head as you swim and be ready to dodge out of the way of ‘bombing’ tweenagers and underwater swimmers at all times. The slides are good fun and there is a sauna and steam room which is a nice touch.|My wife used the Aquafit classes most mornings and really enjoyed them.|The on-site shop does good bread and pastries although they do run out if you have too long a lie-in. It’s also quite reasonably priced for what it is.|The bulk of people who were there when we were, were Dutch, French and Belgian with a small number of Brits, Germans and Irish.|We used the restaurant on ‘Moules’ night and were a bit underwhelmed.|Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the lady that ran the ice cream concession in the evening, but broadly compared with our experience last year, they did not seem quite as enthusiastic and keen to ‘go the extra mile’.|It’s probably a good reflection on the site that we didn’t feel the need to venture too far although the area is beautiful.|Overall I would recommend this site for its location and overall standards although I would probably not go back in the...

Read moreStayed for 13 days in August and I will not stay at a Yelloh campsite again! ||While we stayed the negatives ||* They are had huge issues with older children mainly Dutch running around the campsite in the evening up to 3am shouting and being a nuisance. They frequently hung around the bathroom area messing in the facilities. They often ran behind caravans and banged on the sides of them during the night. We made numerous complaints and were woke frequently in the night. This behaviour ment that out 12 year old did not feel they could visit the bathroom on their own. On our last evening we were woken around 1.30am by a bang. When we looked out of our bedroom window there was a teen at the back of our van. We shouted and he ran. We think he hit his head off the window. The teens frequently played “man hunt” or “hide and seek” in the army hours. Even with hedges etc they had no problem climbing behind people’s expensive vans!!! ||On one occasion myself and my friend drove onto the site and while parking a boy leaned near the window and called us “…cking little b….ches” he did stay on the site! ||On another occasion I was in the outdoor showers and children/ teens were jumping up and down to make them shake. I can only imagine it was like going to a festival. ||the toilets are outdoor and not enough for number of people. Frequently dirty and no toilet roll.|| not enough showers. ||lake is overcrowded and unsafe. No clear launch for paddle boards meaning it’s a people soup trying to get out. It’s an accident waiting to happen. Needs roping and separating off into swim area and paddleboard launch. || the use of electric scooters on paths ment for walking is very dangerous. They also often speed about on them after dark. ||* the pitches in some areas are cluttered and messy looking. The site for the cost is in need of landscaping it looks a mess. ||Note - on complaining about the problem in the evening they were aware. They admitted that it went on until early hours. They eventually set a curfew. This did little to solve the issue that they had created. For me the issue was that parents did not know where their children were (or care). The site had booked too many older teens for the facilities. The football pitch was full during the day and at times loungers etc. They need to look at the “capacity” of facilities not the number of pitches. Often units had 2 adults and 4 or 5 children in ranging from small to teens. They should also make an area where teens can go and set out expectations when families arrive. They should not be running around until 3/4 am! ||Positives |Jura region is stunning! |local village easy to walk to. |* Aldi is nearby to get shopping. |* the pool area is lovely||Our friends stayed on a Yelloh on lake Annecy and had...
