Boissonna Garden — Attraction in Marmande

This is nice mature garden having been created many years ago. There are a lot of plants and the idea of having the 'petals' of a plant and it's stem as the basis for the design is very pleasing as you wander around each separate area. Personally I felt that the roses were let down by a lack of pruning, subsequently there were not a lot of blooms on most of them. A lovely little garden, with paper guides in French and English. The tea room at the top of the garden serves a variety of teas, ice creams and freshly made scones. I highly recommend the rose iced tea, which was really refreshing.

Even at the start of Autumn, lots of the garden was still in bloom. It was great to see loads of bees and other wildlife enjoying the flowers. The two cats are also pretty friendly.

beautiful little garden with tea room. Roses at their best in May. Struggling a bit with hot weather and water shortages (as of 7 Aug 2022) but it's still worth going if only for the delicious home made food and artisanale ice creams. Just don't eat the the rose or violet flavours, they're mine. Discovery test for children, though I doubt you'll get more than an hour out of them unless plied with...
