Farm and Pruneau Museum — Attraction in Marmande

Really lovely selfguided tour with audio guide headsets and a tasting at the end. Learnt that "Agen Prunes" are called that because that was where they were shipped from. Feel annoyed for Villeneuve area where they are actually grown! Lots of other interesting insights to be had as well as 'silly photo' opportunities using the cardboard cut out face tableau. The Prunes in Eau De Vie from the shop are AMAZING. Weighed a tonne but still brought sone home...

Positiv: Das Museum ist recht liebevoll gemacht und der Audioguide professionell produziert. Wen interessiert, wie der traditionelle Pflaumen Anbau funktionierte, wird hier sicher gut informiert.

Das Mais Labyrinth, das es im Sommer gibt, ist beeindruckend groß und für Kinder toll.

Negativ: Die Rätselspiele im Labyrinth sind recht einfallslos und teilweise unverständlich (ich verstehe gut französisch, also das war nicht das Problem). Es wäre schöner, wenn jemand sich die Mühe machen würde, ein zusammenhängendes Spiel für das Labyrinth zu erfinden. Das, was da geboten wurde, war leider extrem unkreativ, schade.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen wirkten außerdem etwas überfordert, obwohl nur wenige Besucher da waren. Insgesamt ist es wohl kein professionelles Museum, sondern ein Nebenerwerb, was total ok wäre, wenn der Preis dann auch entsprechend wäre.

Wir haben jedoch als Familie mit zwei zahlenden Kindern (3. Kind war zu jung und daher gratis) 38€ für Museum und Labyrinth bezahlt. Für die Hälfte des Preises hätte ich eine bessere Bewertung hinterlassen. Aber so fand ich für das Gebotene den Preis wirklich unverhältnismäßig.

Ich würde den Besuch daher für Familien mit mehreren Kindern nicht empfehlen. Als alleinstehendes Paar kann das Museum aber sicher interessant sein und für zwei Personen ist es dann auch...
