Definitely worth the stop. This place has been restructured really well, and it offers a lot of information about the early days of the French presence in New Caledonia.
Based on my experience, it is more informative than some of the local museums, and the view from the top of the tower is great.
On a negative note, the English translations are very filtered, and some panels were printed with the wrong resolution, making them hard to read.
