If you are in the vicinity it is worth to deviate and visit the castle. Be careful and better follow road signs than Internet maps. We were so lucky that we parked our car just in the front of castle (space for 3 cars). Next our lucky moment was that we arrived just at the time of guided tour. The fact is that it was just French speaking tour, but we have got English leaflet and we understand some words in French so it was really interesting for us. On a rather overcast day visited the outside walls of the impressive hill top Belvoir castle. The site is only open in the afternoons so that will have to be for another day. But nevertheless interesting to walk around the castle walls and see the views around. We stayed in the castle on the lower level for 1 week in 2018. Host was amazing, the accommodations were as well. This was our home base that week for travel in Eastern France Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg. Absolutely magical trip! Would not hesitate to stay again and plan to once COVID-19...
