I recently visited Maison de la nature in Montpellier and was blown away by the stunning natural beauty of the park. The scenery was simply breathtaking, with picturesque views of the landscape and an array of diverse wildlife, including beautiful flamingos.

However, I was a bit disappointed to find that there were no bike terminals for city bikes within the park. As a tourist, I was hoping to explore the park on two wheels, but this inconvenience made it challenging to do so. Additionally, I was unable to rent a bike lock upon entering the park, which was frustrating as I had not brought my own.

Despite this issue, I still had a lovely time walking around and taking in the sights. The park is well-maintained, and the walking paths are easy to navigate. I especially enjoyed learning about the different plants and animals through the informational signs scattered throughout the park.

Overall, Maison de la nature is a beautiful natural retreat that I would recommend to anyone visiting Montpellier. It's just a shame that the lack of bike terminals and rental bike locks can cause some inconvenience for those who wish to explore the park on two wheels. Nonetheless, the park's natural beauty and diverse wildlife make it a must-visit destination for...

If you love hiking in the nature but you don’t want to go far from the city, Maison de la Nature is the best hiking trail that you can enjoy. It is accessible by public transportation (take tram 3 toward the center of Latte and after that you should walk about 17 minutes to reach to this spot). It is a preserved nature park and you should check the dates and the times that you can have access (usually it’s closed on the bank holidays and after 6 pm). You can spend a day, half a day or a few hours over there. Even you can have a picnic since there is a set of tables and benches in the area of the house. It’s so beautiful and peaceful. You easily can see different types of birds, such as storks, flamingos, ducks and more. It's definitely...

A wonderful nature reserve just 20 mins from central Montpellier. Free entry, it's a beautiful wetland oasis with well maintained walkways, information boards, picnic tables at the entrance and a number of different circuits to choose from. The bird life is abundant and you can enjoy seeing all kinds of wetland birds such as storks, herons, egrets and of course the iconic pink flamingos in their hundreds. It's the perfect place for a relaxing, restorative walk and to forget you're anywhere near a city.
