Museum Anne de Beaujeu — Attraction in Moulins

Highly recommended, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Exhibit is interesting and varied, we saw bronze age history, mummies,chinoiseries, samouraï Swords, exhibition on the local prison including proof of the second world war when Moulins was split between occupied and free France- go if you are in the area. There's is a room with paintings and sculptures, varied and well organised with description on a magazine so you can sure and admire them from afar without having to read little plaques next to them. Throughout the MAB, Musée Anne de Beaujeu, there are seats available, rare in a museum! Plenty of activities for kids, and grown-up 😉...

Le musée occupe un bâtiment remarquable appartenant à la 1ère Renaissance. La sculpture médiévale et renaissance du Bourbonnais, d'une qualité exceptionnelle, y est admirablement mise en valeur. Le musée présente en outre chaque année une exposition temporaire remarquable. Depuis 20 ans, je parcours chaque année 600 kms pour vivre un moment d'exception dans ce beau musée.
