This is a fairly small chateau but I really enjoyed it. The lady who was taking the ticket money was great. She was so enthusiastic about everything which made us excited for the visit. She was a fountain of knowledge! You only have one wing to go round but there is lots to see and lots of good information. Read moreLovely looking château to the west of Chef Boutonne. We stopped to have a look after visiting the Saturday morning market in the town. Unfortunately the chateau was closed as it was out of season. It's only open sometimes between Easter and Summer. There was plenty of parking but there are restrictions for campervans. There is a lake with picnic areas, and a souvenir shop. Guess we'll have to visit...
