Fantastic family day out at Zoodyssee.
After reading a lot of the reviews I was a little dubious about visiting Zoodyssee, but I am can easily say that it was fantastic!
From the moment we arrived we were greeted in a very well sanitised and clean reception area, where we met the lovely staff who told us about the park and what to expect going around.
The park is operating under a one way system, which works very well and works alongside the map, with lots of sanitiser along the route.
We were very lucky to have great weather and managed to see every animal except the Mink, which was near the end.
Along the route around there are lots of benches and picnic tables for a sit down, and vending machines dotted around with drinks and snacks inside. I would recommend bring coins as they do not take notes or cards in the machines.
There are also play areas whilst walking around, which are a very good size, very well built and maintained along with benches around them.
One of our favourite parts was the walk to the bears, which did not disappoint. I had read many reviews of the bears wandering around their enclosure in circles looking bored, but this was not the case today. One bear was having a sleep whilst the other was playing and splashing in the water. The enclosure is very big, like all of the animals we saw, and was very well maintained.
Overall, for paying less than €40 for a family of 3 into Zoodyssee, we all found the whole day absolutely fantastic and cannot bring up one bad...
Read moreAwesome place for hiking in family, age 2+. Take care having good walking shoes. Plenty of trees shadow.
Charging station for electric cars, two places.
You can have a picnic directly on the ground, blanket needed. Otherwise, you can have some eating at the cafeteria. There are some automatic soda and candy machines distributors. Be aware, for the machines only cash is accepted, not credit cards.
A huge variety of european animals. Under construction, some variety of vegetables and grapes. Many informations are provided in English.
Be aware going to bathroom before beginning, right after the main entrance, because after, there are not so many toilets.
If going calmly and taking the time (specially if with a baby carriage), you'll need 5 to 6 hours.
The souvenirs shop at the exit is horribly expensive ( I'm pretty sure if prices were lower, people would spend more). Also you have an exit without entering the shop.
Hydroalcoolic spray and gel provided below gates, toilets and kids games area.
Follow the signs (the red ones) for a better experience.
Prepare your shoes and some water and sandwiches and you'll spend some instructive and quality time in family...
Read moreLovely mini Zoo, we had decided to go to Zoodyssee after we thought it was too far to drive to visit the big zoo la palmyre.
We took my almost 2 year old son. Price was acceptable for what you got to see. 2 adults was €26.00 under 3s go free. You were given a map and the receptionist spoke great English so was able to explain how long it takes roughly to go around the zoo and also told us there were arrows all around to help you follow the path around the whole of the park.
On the map there were 61 different animals however there were a few we did not see either due to them being hidden, asleep or just that they no longer had that animal. A short walk from the entrance there is a petting zoo area which my son absoloutly loved.
Throughout the walk around the zoo there are plenty of picnic areas with plenty of seating and also lots of benches too.
There is a café, although it was not open when we visited which we really would have appreciated. However we never really understood the times the French cafés and restaurants opened so this was no surprise.
All in all it was a good trip out, fairly priced and not too...
