Ein kleines archäologisches Museum, welches sich der Geschichte der menschlichen Besiedlung von Guadeloupe und der umliegenden karibischen Inseln widmet. Es gibt einen Parkplatz und der Eintritt ist kostenlos. Es gibt kleine Flyer in verschiedenen Sprachen, die ein paar Basics zum Museum aufführen. Die Ausstellung im Flurbereich des Museums ist leider ausschließlich auf französisch. In den beiden Haupträumen sind die Schilder auf französisch und englisch. Die Ausstellung umfasst Informationen zu Ausgrabungen, historischen Zusammenhängen und der antiken Kultur auf Guadeloupe und in der Karibik. Es sind diverse Ausgrabungsstücke zu besichtigen. Ich fand das Museum ganz interessant, wenngleich auch etwas klein und in die Jahre gekommen. Außerdem ist es ärgerlich, dass nicht alle Schilder auch auf englisch verfügbar sind. Wer sich explizit für die karibisch Geschichte interessiert oder gerne Museen besucht und in der Nähe ist, sollte mal vorbeischauen.

The museum is small but extremely interesting and FREE, and they have information in English. The location however is horrible. It's in the middle of nowhere with no bus stop, so you need to take a private car or taxi to get here. It should either be in town or in the archaeological park.

Un lieu plein de culture et très nteressant. Le gardien a l'entrée est très prevenant et aime papoter, c'était un plaisir de converser quelques minutes avec lui. Bien que la collection permanente soit superbe je trouve qu'il manque de l'information sur les objets en particulier. De grands panneaux expliquent les grandes lignes mais on a du mal à se représenter la chronologie des objets. Dommage. Le jardin amérindien est un peu fouilli mais c'est ce qui lui donne du charme. C'est agréable de faire le tour après la visite du musée. Attention, photos interdites dans le musée mais autorisées dans le jardin.

Honteux, nous nous sommes rendues dans ce musée après avoir vérifié sur internet qu il était ouvert. Après avoir fait 1h30 de voiture nous arrivons sur place. Compte tenu de la situation, avant d entrée nous mettons nos masques et avons du gel à disposition. Prêts à rentrer dans le bâtiment une salariée nous ouvre à peine la porte et nous explique sur un ton très désagréable que le musée est fermé sans nous fournir la moindre explication. Nous devons insister pour finalement entendre qu il non pas de matériels adaptés. Nous avons pourtant nos masque et le musée est officiellement ouvert quid..Il apparaît clairement que nous dérangeons ce personnel payer gracieusement à ne rien faire. Le jardin est mal entretenu aucune information sur l utilite des plantes medicinales et les jardinier installés sur la terrasse nous regarde avec dédain.Je déconseille fortement et c est bien dommage pour le patrimoine ...
