Lac des Bouillouses — Attraction in Prades

C’est tres disappointing! This isn’t even a real lake, it’s a reservoir and tourist trap. I couldn’t drive to it in my camper van. I had to park at a base and take a shuttle bus up. When you get to the “lake” you’re greeted by a big ugly retaining wall, and then you walk to a small patch of grass covered in cow crap below an imposing lodge. I’m sure there are trails around the lake but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re staring at a man-made body of water with a mediocre view compared to the rest of the Pyrenees. An excellent place for relaxation and hiking. There are multiple walkways and trails that you can use, many of which are suitable for all ages. The lake is very beautiful, and the longer you walk around the lake, the more beautiful coves dotted with mountain springs and small islands on the lake, which are truly something special, will start to appear. Para llegar hasta el lago de las Bulloses ( lac des Bouillouses) podemos hacerlo con nuestro vehículo por la carretera d60, teniendo presente que, durante los meses de julio y agosto, y primer fin de semana de septiembre, la carretera que llega hasta el embalse se abre para coches de 19:00 a 7:00. Para acceder a partir de las 7:00Am hay que dejar el coche en el aparcamiento habilitado y en la caseta de información sacar el ticket del bus que te llevará a los pies del lago de las Bulloses donde empezaras tus rutas. (6€adulto ida y vuelta. A la subida se quedan con el ticket no os preocupéis a la bajada que no piden nada.) Es un paraje muy concurrido, hay fechas que parece una romeria. En temporadas de calor merece la pena madrugar. Es un trayecto de Rutas para todo el mundo, si es verdad que el primero tramo Hasta llegar al "estany del viver" es muy rocoso y inclinado con algo mas de dificultad. Tienes mucha variedad de itinerarios siempre bien indicados. Desde una ruta de 6a9 lagos o la de 12 lagos con estany de sobirans o no desviarte del camino del carlit y subir a su cima y contemplar sus espectaculares vistas.
