Via Ferrata of Saint Paul de Fenouillet — Attraction in Prades

La Panoramique is a great via ferrata with magnificent views to picturesque French country. The beginning of the route is a bit intimidating with a steep incline and a lot of bars. However the route gets more diverse and interesting shortly after. There are three bridges en route and two of them in some height, however all of them have an alternative for those who wouldn't like to cross them. Tho whole route feels very safe. Took me 2 hours to the end of the route and 45 minutes back to the parking lot. The wind was quite strong on some places – was nice in the hot weather however might get serious in case of bad weather. Will definitely want to come back and repeat the ascent...

Two Via Ferrata are available. This review is for the Easy one, the one for beginners. It is an easy one, no need to be athletic. However, it is needed to not be afraid of heights. No problem for children, I would recommand at least 7-8 just because a minimum size is needed to reach steps and also because the child needs the ability to keep focus - see pictures to guess how a parent would feel. Reseña de la vía difícil de esta Ferrata✨: Es una Ferrata preciosa, desde mi opinión, no apta para principiantes puesto que requiere algunos pasos técnicos y algún pasito que requiere fuerza de brazos. He visto que está catalogada como K3 y una vía difícil según la nomenclatura de Francia. Después de hacer varias ferratas "difíciles" en Francia, creo que está si que se acerca más a lo que se define como difícil. Consejos: Calzado que no resbale, hay tramos que tienes que ir sobre piedra y te dará más seguridad y agarre si llevas zapatillas de trail o de montaña. Si haces la Ferrata en verano y no hace nubes, te vas a abrasar. Es una vía que te pega todo el día el sol, en verano o la haces muy temprano o coges un día que tenga nubes ( como nosotros). puentes tibetanos fáciles, sin casi nada de dificultad, bastante estables. El Parking que está a los pies de la Ferrata de llena a partir de las 7:30-8:30h. En ese parking hay árboles que te dan sombra, quién madrugue sombra que pillara.

Cómo último consejo ( y esto si piensas en alojarte allí esa noche) te recomiendo no ir al camping que hay en el pueblo de Saint Paul , vale el doble que el camping que hay en Maury y hay menos servicios. El camping del Maury hay de todo y está muy limpio.
