Site COROT — Attraction in Rochechouart

A walk along side the River Glane which surpassed expectations. A wonderful walk, especially if very hot, as the trees should provide welcoming shade which is given amply upto the Moulin. It was Autumn when we visited, with crunching acorns and fallen leaves underfoot as well as the odd sweet chestnut. We would have appreciated some way markers as we found our way from the camping Aire late afternoon in autumn. It was very narrow past the mill buildings especially as a van drove drove through whilst I pressed myself into a doorway. The woods and river were absolutely stunning in the golden hour although we struggled to find out way safely back from view point by the fire station...
