A truly excellent museum, despite having spent a fair amount of time there I'd definitely visit again if I was in the area. Very friendly and welcoming staff; I don't speak French - at least not in an aeronautical manner - but efforts were made immediately upon my arrival to provide an explanation of the museum and it's contents in English, very much appreciated. Great variety of exhibits; many aeroplanes and helicopters, some of which you can see right inside, cutaway engines and turbines, munitions, fantastic model displays - a real geekfest! Various other reviews mention it being quite small, I disagree, I spent a good couple of hours nosing around switchgear, hydraulics and vehicle interiors, all for entry at the bargain price of €8, could have stayed longer. Easily the best money I spent while I was...

Absolutely fantastic. The plane/helicopter collection is impressive. It is completed with models of hundreds of planes and engins. The tours are guided by volunteers. This means they are fascinated by the subject, and extremely knowledgeable. In our case, our guide was an ex-military pilote for the French land army. Not only was he interesting and funny, he shared countless personal side stories that made the whole visit come alive.

Honestly thank you so much for this afternoon, and I hope this museum can keep striving and grow its collection. Only thing I should note is that the tour did last 2:30h which can be quite...

If you like planes and ships and a bit of navy history, this is an awesome place. The volunteer who guided us during a more than 2 hour tour was in fact a former pilot and spoke with a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge about the French navy and it's planes and helicopters and ships. It's only 8 euros, and in my opinion you really get your money's worth. You get up close with small and large planes and helicopters, engines, equipment and more. Oh and they have a huge collection of models as well. Definitely...

large hangar Naval Air museum crammed with aircraft and other exhibits that you can get close to. Outside are many more aircraft. All the displayed aircraft have descriptions about them. Next to the French Navay Air Force training base. It took me half a day to see them all. Only downside is the museum is only open on three days of the week. Too many photo's to post.
