Canyoning et escalade | Adventures Réunion — Attraction in Saint-Denis

Top of the top (for canyoning & rock climbing)!!!

Going to the Reunion Island for an adventure-packed trip we looked for an outfitter with the mountain guide qualifications. We started with Adventures Reunion by rock climbing the Pic de Maïdo with Olivier, mountain guide and former military rescue professional. It was such a wonderful and exhilarating experience with stunning 360 degrees views on the Mafate circus! Olivier was more than great, passionate about the mountains, and very helpful, giving excellent advice to tackle this challenging 5c route for us in 100% safety. As we had such a fantastic time we decided to go canyoning with Olivier as well and had a real blast in Sainte Suzanne Intégral! In the rainy season, there are fewer options to canyon and following Olivier’s advice we were lucky to explore a stunning, fun and varied canyon (rappels, jumps, toboggans and an epic 35 metre abseil/zip line when you do the integral version). We concluded our trip in an epic way: by climbing the 3 Salazes Intégral. Olivier is the only guide on the island taking people further than the (already epic) 3 Salazes classic tour. After climbing the 3 Salazes and taking in the most breathtaking views we have ever seen (on both sides of the ridge line to see Cilaos and Mafate) we continued on the Dragon ridge-line all the way up to the very end for an exhilarating 50 meter free hanging abseil with views on the Mafate and Cilaos Circuses in a 10 hour adventure that is not for the faint hearted. Olivier is fantastic! We did the Suzanne canyon with our entire family and 5 friends and we all had an amazing time. He was patient and kind and very clear about the rules. He is incredibly professional and obviously loves what he does. I have one child who normally opts out of riskier options but she did every single element, thanks to Olivier's gentle encouragement. Autant la riviere est sympa, autant je suis d'accord avec d'autres commentaires sur Google et sur ceux d'un autre site bien connu : le " guide " , Olivier, a été désagréable au possible

Son attitude a gâché la sortie

Alors certes, on n'est pas là pour être dans une ambiance de franche camaraderie en permanence, et on doit être en totale sécurité, mais on peut aussi garantir une saine sortie qui respecte les régles de sécurité en ayant un " guide " qui respecte les participants. Ses remarques hautaines n'avaient pas lieu d'être (sachant que tous les participants étaient - et c'est normal - souriants et à l'écoute)

A cela s'ajoute que ses consignes ne pouvaient être entendues que par ceux vraiment très proches de lui, et tant pis pour les autres (quid de la sécurité ?!?)
