Impressive Italian fort from EO 19 century and WW1. Well maintained, create the appropriate attitude from these times. The artillery sites near by also worth visit. Steep short hike, 1 km, from the lake side site.

Salita non impegnativa, ma con un bel dislivello iniziale. Ottimo per famiglie e anche con animali al seguito. Forte piccolo e visitabile, così come la casa matta poco distante tra il forte e la montagna. L'ingresso e l'uscita della casa matta non sono comodi con degli scalini, ma fattibili. Non c'è rischio di perdersi all'interno con le torce, ai bivi ci sono dipinte le frecce per aiutare a orientarsi. Dal forte vista bellissima sul Lago del Moncenisio. Merita sicuramente una gita.

Forte raggiungibile da diversi punti del lago. Noi lo abbiamo raggiunto in una 30ina di minuti dal parcheggio situato sotto (dove ci sono anche locali e ristoranti). La vista da sopra naturalmente paga e non poco (c’è anche un bel punto panoramico per fare delle belle foto 📸) mentre il forte invece… un pochino meno. Detto questo per storicità e fascino sicuramente è una tappa che consiglio al 100% da aggiungere alle vostre escursioni al lago di Moncenisio 💪🏻

Great walk up (400m ascent, quite steep). Amazing views on the lake and mountains. The fortress is interesting as it is largely in good shape. You can enter freely (which feels a bit eerie) and...
