I have been going to this zoo for over 10 years, and it is my favourite zoo in the entire world! The animals are clearly the priority here, and they are all visibly well cared for, provided with enrichment, and every time there is refurbishment it is usually expanding upon their current enclosures so the animals have even more space! Watching their lions grow old has been a real gift that you do not get to see at many zoos, and the highlight of every trip is the goat enclosure, where you can not only see but also meet and pet all the different goats. If you visit in the early summer, you can see lots of baby goats! There are also play areas for children, and the food is excellent. This zoo is truly a place for everyone, including families, children, elders, and adults. This is a family-owned zoo and it is clear in how much care goes into the zoo and how well they treat...

Lovely little zoo. There are a limited amount of animals but the ones you do see you can get up pretty close to (some obviously behind safety glass - lion, tiger, leopard etc.). The operators of the zoo have made the most of the area to make it as fun as possible with areas where you can get in to and feed goats and donkeys, and there are talks from the zookeepers throughout the day at different enclosures. At some points it felt a little like a mini farm but in some way this added to the charm of the place. The playground is nice and there is a lovely area where you can eat. You can also leave the park and get a stamp to get back in if you need to (just a nice touch if you left something in the car) Overall a great day out and our 2 year...

Such an Amazing Zoo!

It quite quickly has become our absolute favourite zoo. Ticket prices are very reasonable considering the experience you get, friendly staff. Great selection of animals who are clearly well looked after.

You can pay a bit extra at the entry to get food for the goats and I couldn't recommend that enough such a great and fun experience.

The restaurant is really good too, friendly and polite staff. Amazing food and selection and good portions for a reasonable price. The chicken nuggets were amazing, the apple pie was amazing and the coffees?! Absolutely insane how good they are.

Even the cheeky birds who tried to steal and break my husbands trainer was great entertainment for us and everyone...

One of the cleanest zoo's we had ever been to. The animals looked very content and well cared for. There was a lot of relevant information about the animals, conservation and issues facing both the animals and people in the indigenous parts of the world they came from. It is a great zoo for young children, as it is not that large. Also, the information for younger visitors is exceptionally well put together, and there are lots of fun activities, such as going underground with the prairie dogs! There are several large cats, leopards, lions and tiger, but the reason I am only giving 4 stars is that I found their enclosures to be a bit small.

Coming from the UK, we think this zoo is excellent. The entrance fee was very reasonable, so much parking and a good number of visitors - not so many it feels crowded and stressful (as it would in UK) and not so few it lacks an atmosphere. The food was simple but very good quality and the animals seemed content and well cared for. They all were easily visible and came very close to the glass, the lion even gave us a great Lion King show. The grounds were really pretty and tidy, staff friendly, and it was overall a very pleasant and relaxing visit. I will definitely return and recommend this zoo.
