Really nice concept. Be aware that you need to be a minimum fit as it is a bit physical when you are pedaling up hill. This said, I'm not really sporty and I still managed to do it. 5 km trail, we choose the one that goes up and then down for the return, it was through the woods. Really nice and relaxing environment. Especially when I was not pedaling.
For the little ones they provide a seat like the ones you get on bikes. If you have 2 young children it can be an issue though since only one seat can be fitted by car. There is a seat in the middle of the car where your children can enjoy the trip, but they need to be old enough to understand they cannot stand up and have to behave.
We didn't use the friterie so I cannot comment on this. The gentleman who welcomed us and got us ready was very nice, he took a picture of us on the car before we started the trail. He told us it would be 4 euros if we were interested when we came back but there was no obligation to get it. Once we got back we found that the picture was pretty cool so we took it.
Overall it was something different to do and it was pretty fun. I think we would come back but I would not mind doing it when the children are a bit older and can participate with the pedaling!!! My thighs are going to be sore...
Read moreQuirky little outdoor adventure place. A couple of options, an electric bicycle (with no seat) for you to scoot about the trails, or a mini train carriage thing that you pedal along a rail track for 5kms before turning round and pedalling back. The rail track had a very small incline, however you know when you're pedalling up the incline and there are 2 choices, you can go easterly and go down the incline, free wheeling for a lot of it and pedalling non stop on the way back or there is the Westerly route for which you have to pedal all the way to the end before turning round and free wheeling back. It was good gentle exercise through very picturesque...
Read morePerfect for a unique and an unusual family excursion - even hours you start uphill and coast back to the station; odd hours you go down hill and then have to pedal (or go electric) to come back up. You have to have a bit of fitness if you are pedalling and it felt a bit heavy going initially but it’s so worth it, as coming back felt so fast. A beautiful April day we saw butterflies and red squirrels between the trees, its very open to the elements if raining. Basic food on site is not vegetarian friendly (frites again) but the staff are great. Will be back for the other route but should hit the...
