Château de PANASSOU — Attraction in Sarlat-la-Canéda

What a special place Chateau de Panassou is. Such a beautiful place hidden away with so much history. We loved our tour and our hostess was very friendly. Even though we do not speak french and the tour was in french she gave us sheets with the information in english. We had a lot of fun learning some french words. It was very interesting to see the cave underneath the chateau and even though you do not go inside the chateau itself we really enjoyed the tour of the outside and grounds. A noter que ce château n'est pas ouvert au public, mais uniquement lors des journées Châteaux en fête de Dordogne, et des journées du patrimoine. Très intéressant, même si un peu frustrant de ne pouvoir visiter que les extérieurs. Prévoir une bonne heure malgré tout, beaucoup de choses à voir, et beaucoup d'explications sur l'histoire...
