Spectaculaire!!!! Without a doubt, the best restaurant we have been in YEARS! Wow wow wow! The freshness of each product, the portions are HUGE and we enjoyed every single bite! Yes, the service is very long… it took one hour to get served but it’s all worth it! The fois gras was to die for, the magret… the nut ice cream…you name it! The meat just melts in your mouth…. You can taste the love in the cooking! Can’t thank enough to have found this gem. The only thing that I would change is the pricing! Honestly is really really cheap for what they give you!maybe if they increase a little, they could manage to hire another person to help either in the kitchen or in the service. Plus the view is just outstanding. Will definitely...

A guy from the region buys a castle that has been derelict since 1944 (the Nazis demolished the castle) and tries to rebuild it single-handedly. Given the mammoth task, I don't know whether he is very motivated or just crazy.

But what I do know is that it is great fun to walk through the walls and there is something to discover at every corner and the castle with its tunnel and cave is a paradise for explorers.

Visit the castle and support this man in preserving a piece of the region's culture.

Warning: the tunnel under the castle may end up being too narrow for people with...

These are the ruins filmed in the movie 'Ever After' with Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott. We visited many years ago when the retired Professor still lived in the house beside the ruins. He told us that the Germans in WW2 burned down this castle in retaliation to the French resistance killing the German solders. Today the ruins are owned by a Scottish person and they are trying to fix it up. Beautiful to visit but fenced off. Too bad all the trees were cut down, but still worth a...

An amazing experience in the area. The château is currently being worked on but you can access a vast amount of the ruin due to French “health and safety” 😂 Well worth the trip with a lot to see including the remaining vaulted grey hall, kitchen and underground tunnels along with 5-6m of tunnels to explore. Such a shame that this monument was birth down by the SS during WW2
