Enjoy the timeless village facades and small car-free streets at Limeuil. Wandering in the silent small streets of Limeuil you are surrounded by only old, medieval, and even older houses. It's a steep walk up-hill that leads to an excellent panorama to enjoy the surrounding landscape and rivers. It's like the village didn't change at all, the many traces show a long history back in time.
Tip: plan your trip at the right moment, most certainly during the summer when the weather isn't that hot. Limeuil isn't that touristic and crowded so only a few terraces offer a place to have a drink but you might enjoy the view the most while sitting along the riverbanks.

Lovely people on reception and very polite and helpful. There is a good numbered walk round the gardens to follow which is great as you dont miss anything. Information is provided in French and English which was great for us!! Interesting to learn about the different plants abd what they have been used for over time. We enjoyed the oversized games that were there playing checkers for the first time in years. The highlight is undoubtedly the view of the Dordogne and Vezeres rivers which merge there. I would 100% recommend if you are in the area but pick a...

There is something for everyone - big or small there. We really liked the educational game provided: you need to gather clues while you move through the gardens to solve it, and you can learn about the plants but also the history of the place. Panoramic view over Dordogne and Vezere rivers meeting point is spectacular. Toilets are available on site. There is a small gift shop and cafe selling beverages and light snacks. How many places you know if has a witch garden? Come...
