Beach Rondinara — Attraction in Sartène

We drove down to Beach Rondinara after reading that cows sometimes come onto the beaches. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any cows on our trip, but we had a lovely day! There was a vendor selling really beautiful cloth fabric and umbrellas when we walked in. I wish I bough more fabric because it is my favorite thing I got on my whole trip to Corsica. The water was beautiful. Everyone on the beach was pretty friendly. There was one guy that walked by and said "I didn't think anyone over 90 kilos was allowed on the beach" and laughed and flipped him off and enjoyed the rest of my day. The drive down was full of switchbacks. So, take your time and don't be an idiot about it. Bring your snorkel gear because I had a great time swimming around the rocks off the coast. It was pretty crowded but not too crazy. The sun here is also no joke. So, pack lots...

Weeeelll, i’m giving this beach 4 stars only because water is super warm which i love, and shallow. But beach is good only far left, everywhere else water is full of grass, and muddy. It even has some green-ish color near the dock. So just go far far left, and you can bathe there. You can also use some natural shade under the trees if you like.

Parking is 5 euros for all day, there is enough space and you don’t have to walk too far from parking to the beach.

Road: be prepared for 10km of snake like road, which is ok, but a bit bumpy and narrow. It is not a dirt road just be careful not to drive fast.

There is no internet connection on the beach.

All in all, Santa Giulia is MUCH better...

Sabbia fine e bianchissima, acque cristalline, ambiente incontaminato e dalla proporzioni perfetta. Votata più bella spiaggia di Francia, o addirittura d'Europa, a più riprese, la spiaggia della Rondinara non delude: sabbia fine, acque turchesi e poco profonde, quadro sublimato da un scrigno di macchia preservata ed ornato di roccia rossastra. Se la forma di conchiglia ed il colore tropicale della baia si scoprono a poco a poco per quelli che arrivano in macchina, la spiaggia soggioga di un colpo con la calma e la dolcezza di vivere che ci regnano. Un’ansa magnifica caratterizzata da due penisole, acque turchesi… In sintesi, un eden dai mille colori! Le sue 2 estremità a forma di cala sembrano quasi toccarsi tanto da rendere questo luogo un'eccellente rada per l’ormeggio delle barche che vi si accalcano durante tutta la stagione estiva. Di forma semicircolare, è quasi chiusa dalle due punte che si protendono nel Mediterraneo. Il fondale degrada dolcemente ed il mare è raramente agitato. Tutto attorno alla baia si trovano diversi banchi di sabbia. La zona più frequentata è quella in corrispondenza del parcheggio. Dirigendosi verso la punta di Rondinara si trova qualche cricca interessante e meno affollata. Anche la parte nord (verso lo stagno di Prisarella) è più tranquilla, ma occorre camminare un po’. In stagione, a fianco del parcheggio, è possibile noleggiare i lettini presso una paillote. Arrivando da Porto-Vecchio, prendere la N198 in direzione Bonifacio. Continuare dritti alla rotonda per Figari, sempre in direzione Bonifacio, per 11 km, poi girare a sinistra sulla D158. Venedo da Bonifacio, alla rotatoria per Propriano seguire la N198 in direzione Porto-Vecchio per 11 km, quindi girare a destra sulla D158.
