Calanque de Port d'Alon — Attraction in Toulon

Firstly dogs are not allowed on the beach between 9am and 5pm. I wish somebody would’ve wrote a review before and said this as we drove a long way believing they were allowed to be very disappointed. Other than that it is a beautiful place great Parking (€10) 50 m from the beach in a shaded car park. Lovely restaurant on the beach although only serves food between lunch hours not sure about any breakfast. The beach is pebbly and access to the water is uncomfortable so bring some swimming shoes. A wonderful beach in a bay with crystal clear water. If you arrive early, you can find a spot near the water under the shade of one of the trees. Be aware that setting up your own umbrella can be difficult, the beach is mostly pebbly. There is a toilet, beach showers and a bar where you can also have food. The place is very popular and therefore can be quite crowded during the day in the summer season. We preferred to arrive in the morning around 9 o'clock and there was no problem. Very nice place. There is a nice path for walk , small restaurant, wc. Entrance to parking:5 euro for far parking and you will need to go gown around 300 m. It is ok, but difficult when after swimming you go back. And 10 euro close to entrance to beach. However, for moto it is free, so I just enjoyed parking close to Entrance to beach:) There are some trees, so you could get nice place in the shadow. The beginning is not so deep, so nice for children. The surface is in small stones, so use proper shoes also...
