Fort de Brégançon — Attraction in Toulon

So we get there at the gate. What we have to pay for parking!? What we have to buy a ticket to just get to the Fort!? What we can't buy the tickets there at the location!? So I was bit frustrated and was not the coolest guy to be around. However we were able to purchase the tickets online before the next tour. This is when I started to feel bad for my attitude toward the staff and started enjoying the beautiful scenery of both the location and smiles. Marie the tour guide was the most wonderful and charismatic person. Enthused about Fort de Bregancon she captivated both the crowd and me to the point where I stopped listening and started wondering if...

Ce jeudi 13 mars, nous avons eu la chance de participer à une visite exceptionnelle du Fort de Brégançon, organisée par l'Office de Tourisme de Bormes-les-Mimosas. Et quelle merveilleuse expérience !

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par des guides passionnés et passionnants, qui ont su nous captiver avec l’histoire fascinante de ce lieu emblématique, résidence présidentielle, le fort offre une plongée unique dans l’histoire de la France, avec des anecdotes enrichissantes sur les présidents qui y ont séjourné.

Le site en lui-même est à couper le souffle ! Niché sur un promontoire rocheux, il offre une vue panoramique époustouflante sur la Méditerranée. L’environnement naturel préservé ajoute une touche magique à la visite, entre le bleu profond de la mer et la végétation luxuriante typique du littoral varois.

Chaque salle du fort révèle un pan d’histoire, et l’aménagement intérieur, bien que discret, témoigne du charme et du prestige de cette résidence présidentielle. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la découverte des espaces extérieurs, où l’on imagine aisément les personnalités politiques se détendre face à l’horizon.

Un immense merci à l’Office de Tourisme de Bormes-les-Mimosas pour cette organisation impeccable, rendant cette visite fluide, agréable et enrichissante. Nous recommandons sans hésitation cette expérience à tous les amoureux d’histoire, de patrimoine et de panoramas d’exception.

Un moment hors du temps, à ne surtout...

This was a fabulous outing, and I have recommended it to another international group. My only gripe is that there were was a lot of information that included numbers and years, but it was fine for the most part. I did learn some new words e.g. "double tomber l'eau"...I think that is the spelling. Maybe a leaflet with key dates for visitors or give the main website for information so non French speakers (or even French speakers) can read before their trip. It was an all round...
