Cave des Vignerons de Montlouis — Attraction in Tours

Having been to Caves des Producteurs de Vouvray in the morning, we came here looking forward to trying more wines and comparing MSL to Vouvray. The cave looked great but the young man behind the counter ignored us for a long time. Eventually he spoke to us but was not welcoming or helpful. He gave us the wine list and simply asked what we wanted; no explanation about the wines, the vineyards or the terroir, etc. It was hard work and after tasting 3 wines we felt he'd had enough, so we bought 1 bottle as a courtesy and left. We then walked up the road to Francois Chidane where we were made very welcome and we bought 6 bottles. In the morning we'd bought about 12 bottles in Vouvray. If only the staff in Caves des Vignerons Montlouis had been more helpful and engaging I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more and...

We visited on 23.8 in the morning and were looking forward to taste some wines and learn more about Montlouis. Unfortunately as soon as we asked if we could speak English, the person there seemed rather annoyed and not really interested in talking to us even though his English was...

Bonjour, quelle déception !!! Une personne a l'accueil qui présente très bien mais commercialement est a coté de ces pompes.... 250 Euros d'achat et pas un geste commercial !! On a pris deux cafés (2 Euros), la personne est venue plusieurs fois pour l'encaissement au cas ou on part s'en payer....

Déplorable, c'est une belle erreur quand on connait le pouvoir d'internet et le bouche a oreille.

Il n'y a pas que dans cette cave qu'on trouve des bons produits. On essaiera la cave des producteurs la prochaine fois qui n'est pas très...
