We visited during the Medieval Camp which hugely added to the visit. As others have noted, much of the castle is gone and just a ruin but nice to walk around and great views. Good information on the history of the castle as well. Those that were running the Medieval camp were lovely to meet, some explained things to us in English. We saw birds of prey, archery, weapons demonstrations, cooking, metal work,...

Beautiful castle ruins. But as it is in most of France, you better at least read french, if you want to know/learn anything. You'll can spend hours and Gbytes translating plagues, frankly embarrassing for tourist attraction of it's historic and cultural significance. But that's France... I believe some find...

We visited during the Medieval Camp which hugely added to the visit. As others have noted, much of the castle is gone and just a ruin but nice to walk around and great views. Good information on the history of the castle as well. Those that were running the Medieval camp were lovely to meet, some explained things to us in English. We saw birds of prey, archery, weapons demonstrations, cooking, metal work, music and more.
