. #patrimoine #architecture #chateau #ruine #pontlevis #fouilles #histoire #lavardin...

Lovely ruins of a castle in the sleepy town of Lavardin. It is great for a quick visit with children, as it is not a museum with information pannels or mandatory guided tours. It is quite a self-service experience, open to exploring every room and corner of the grounds. Outside you will also find very friendly goats tending to the grass! It cost us about 2,50...

Superb ruins of a beautiful castle, a lot of dungeons still remain and the main hall is really impressive! It is hard to describe the size of the castle. We went on a warm Sunday and it was very calm, only a couple tourists were visiting it at the same moment as us. In the village is a museum that free, the castle is 4 euros to enter per person (discount...

The ruins of Château Lavardin in the beautiful village Lavardin are really nice to visit. Overlooking the village, the castle, build on on a rocky promontory, above the village and the Loire, was once an important fortress.

Weren't able to visit the grounds because 🐕 are not allowed but the castle ruins are highly visible from the quaint village below.
