Huge park with a marketing success. Can be done in 2 hours. Out of all those animals I have seen only the wolves and the birds (during the presentations). No other animals. The birds presentation was impressive. The farm is ok.
The story teller was a waste of time as the kids arrived late and wanted to see wolves (instead they first had to listen to a fairy tale about the 3 pigs and the wolf before heading to finally see the wolves).
The separate area for insects was way too dark and scary for kids. I think there should be either more light (which is difficult with those night creatures) or small kids should not be going to see giant spiders, etc).
They have a fantastic playground for school age kids though. Highly recommend.
Just a little warning, as the area is preserved in a very natural way, there are tons of insects...
Read moreThis is a fabulous little wildlife park, so if in the vicinity it's well worth 2 or 3 hours looking round. Huge parking area - no height barriers - we paid 12.50€ each. No English leaflets/boards, but most animals are self explanatory (!). All in woodland, little trails leading to enclosures. Amazing wolf packs. Plenty to see, with a little 'farm type' animals area, then more unusual animals. Birds of prey, reptiles, bats ... and various displays during the day. A great little cafe, seating inside and out. Play areas for children. Gift shop at entrance. Toilets etc at entrance and in the Park. Probably slippery underfoot in wet weather as much of yhe walking is on compressed soil. Lots of benches, undercover seating etc. Really excellent value (& we've stayed overnight in the carpark - did get...
Read moreA really great day out, lots to see and do. The restaurant was wonderful, no vegetarian option but when I asked I was accomodated perfectly. We were entertained by a talk on bats and nocturnal animals, bird of prey display, talk on poultry and a talk while the wolves were being fed. There is a large play area for the children but because the talks and films are on within half an hour of each other in the afternoon it is better to come before lunch so that you can experience everything. Displays are in French and English and animations around the farm animal area are also in Dutch. Talks are...
