Very racist community: Being an Asian coming from the UK who is a student in Georgia, coming here thinking I will have a fun day just was not the case with most of the shops renting ski equipment outright denying me service without asking anything, I was looking to rent general ski equipment, with about 6-8 different vendors on site, they all just said “Niet” which is Russian for “No” with very rude attitudes. All whilst serving Caucasian customers with kindness and patience. I travelled 3 hours to get there for such a unironically cold welcome. And the one vendor that did rent equipment shot up the price for me by 2.5x the amount of everyone else.

The guys at the ski lift entrance were also very unfriendly to my friends and myself.

Leaving the place in the evening, some of the older locals spat at my friends and I with rude faces. The whole experience was not great, hated everything about this place besides the other younger Georgian skiers who were very nice and helpful, especially when I had tripped and slipped constantly (my first time skiing, very new to the sport).

Never going back here no matter the decent price of tours.

For people who don’t care about these things or if those factors don’t fit you, then you may enjoy your experience here, plenty of different levels of slopes and good space, it was quite busy on the slopes and for queuing for the lifts but it is peak January...

In a snowy season, when all slopes are opened, Bakuriani is a nice place for skiing. There are 3 skiing areas (Kochta, Mitarbi, Didveli), which are available by single skipass (its a state resort). And one private slope (Krystal) with its own skipass. The last one is not so interesting and costs almost the same as 3 others, but it's the only which has lighting and an evening skiing. Kochta and Mitarbi have slops to move from one area to another, which makes them very convenient. If you live close to Kochta, you don't need a taxi to reach Mitarbi - you could ski there.

Price for 1 day skipass , 2023-24 season: -state resorts =55 lari+5 lari a card, Krystal resort =40 +10 for a card. The more days - the less price per day. Have a great skiing in Bakuriani!

P.s. this googke mark is made on entrance to...

The slopes are fantastic for everyone. It is something there advanced and beginner. It is done professionally with the lifts and the helping people on the mountain. The snow is great and the prices are fine!

55 Lari for a day pass is really good and fair!

The view from the top of the mountain is also amazing. Around the valley there is much to do, from Restaurants to great music and a lot of accommodations possibilities. Also renting equipment is possible right next to the lift.

It feels just very professional, when compared to Austria and other popular regions. I had a lot of joy and can highly recommend...

Bakuriani Ski Resort was awesome! I loved shredding the forest trails and doing some freeriding. They've got different slopes like Didveri, Kohta 1, and Kohta 2 (all covered by one SkiPass), plus Crystal (needs a separate pass). Renting gear for snowboarding or skiing costs around 40-50 GEL for boots and the board/skis. The quality is okay, but can be better And don't miss out on night skiing at Crystal slope – it's super cool! Highly recommend checking it out!
