Abandoned roadside ruins 🏚️🛣️🏯

Apparently about 10 years ago they were expanding this highway from two lanes the four and discovered some ancient ruins 🤘🤠

Here we are less than a decade later and the ruins have been partially excavated and covered... There is even a small museum built here for these ruins buuuut it's all abandoned 🤷‍♂️

There had to be a huge amount of effort energy and money spent on this place and to see it all wasting away is quite sad 😭

You're not even able to access this site from the highway from which it was found from its expansion. Not sure what the plan is with this place for the future but let's hope it becomes an active tourist destination because these ruins really are something unique 👌👌👌
