This Martvili Canyon is a picturesque landmark of water and rocks. After riding a boat, you can go for a short trekking Enjoy a group of beautiful waterfalls and hear the dramatic sound. There are several walkways, bridges, and observation platforms that allow you to take excellent photographs. It's not difficult at all and 20 minutes are more than enough to see unless you stop to take pictures and videos a lot. You could go down to rocks before, but it's not anymore as new paths and bridges were built on 2016. However it's still enough to enjoy € ✔️National Park entrance ticket: 17.25 Gel Follow @bonvoyagepro for more travel tips . . . . . . . . . . . #bonvoyagepro #visitgeorgia #georgiatravelmoments #iamtraveller #wanderlust #martvilicanyon #kutaisi

Caution: While you are entering the canyon, there will be a lot of local agents tyring to lure you not to visit the main waterfall, instead spend same or lesser amount of money and see various other waterfalls in their 4*4. This was all a gimmick and we ultimately realised one should not fall for their lucrative offers as the main waterfall is something not to miss out on. My visit to Martvili Canyon was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of Georgia, this natural wonder offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The canyon's turquoise waters and lush greenery create a picturesque landscape that feels like a scene straight out of a fairy tale. The waterfalls at Martvili Canyon are truly breathtaking. As you navigate through the canyon, you'll encounter several stunning waterfalls, each with its own unique charm. The main waterfall, located near the entrance, is a powerful cascade that plunges into a deep pool, creating a mesmerizing mist. Further along, you'll find smaller, more tranquil waterfalls that offer perfect spots for a refreshing dip or a peaceful moment of reflection. For those who love a bit of adventure, the canyon also offers opportunities for hiking and exploring hidden caves. The trails are well-marked and provide stunning views at every turn. Don't forget to bring your camera, as there are countless photo opportunities, especially near the waterfalls where the light creates beautiful rainbows. The facilities at Martvili Canyon are well-maintained, with clean restrooms and a small café offering refreshments. The staff were friendly and eager to help, making the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, Martvili Canyon is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Whether you're looking to relax and take in the beauty of nature or embark on an exciting exploration, this hidden gem in Georgia has something for everyone. The canyon also offer a boat ride and a Zipline experience, unfortunately it were closed during our visit due to rain but those are surely not to miss here.

I never get bored of visiting this place! Each time I come here, I'm enchanted by the lush surroundings and the crystal-clear water that creates a mesmerizing experience. But what truly steals the show is the boating adventure in the canyon – it's simply perfect! The 17.25 GEL entry fee is worth every penny for the breathtaking views of waterfalls and the sense of tranquility this place offers. And if you're seeking some extra excitement, I highly recommend trying out the boating experience for an additional 15 GEL. Trust me, you wouldn't want to miss it! For those who crave an adrenaline rush, there's a thrilling zipline available too. So, whether you're in search of serenity or an action-packed adventure, this place has got you covered. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring that your visit is smooth and enjoyable. The overall ambiance is fantastic, making it the perfect spot for a day out with your loved ones. It's around a 40-minute drive from Kutaisi town, so if you have a day to spare in Kutaisi, don't miss the opportunity to visit this place. The total trip duration, including travel to and from Kutaisi, is approximately 3 hours, but it's absolutely worth it. Moreover, you can also visit the Okatse Canyon en route to this place if you have a whole day to explore the beauty of the region. I can't stress enough how much I recommend this place! If you're seeking an escape from the daily grind and a chance to immerse yourself in nature's beauty, don't hesitate to plan a visit. It's an experience you'll cherish forever!!

Martvili Canyon is a picturesque landmark of water and rocks, located 50km west of Kutaisi. It is 5 km from the town of Martvili, and 2 km from the village of Gachedili (which gave the canyon its other name, Gachedili Canyon). The canyon was formed by the waters of the Abasha (Abashi) River. It is 2.4 km long, and the height of the canyon walls reaches 40 m in some places. This natural landmark attracts many tourists who want to experience the contrast between the tranquil river and the dynamic waterfalls. At the beginning, Martvili Canyon is a very quiet, deep gorge with high humidity, where the rocks are covered with moss and the flow of the river is so slow that it seems as if time has stopped. In the middle of the canyon suddenly appears a large 12 m waterfall, from which tons of water fall every second. The main highlight of the Martvili Canyon is the boating and the walk around the waterfalls. Inflatable boats, life jackets were provided once you show your boat ride tickets at the counter near the boat ride area. Boating at the canyon is an exciting experience and a refreshing feel to your eyes and mind. The boating distance is length of the route the boats take along the river is around 1 km and the total ride takes about 30 minutes (including photo stops). Children under 5 years old are not allowed on the boats.
