Land of heaven. Inspiring beauty, my heart is still sinked in ushguli . Land which shows beauty of life. I just stayed there for 4 hours but it's enough to live with splendid joy for 4 years . Whole heartedly this is worth visiting place . My travel of 7 hours became valuable after seeing the biggest Caucasian mountain Skhara. Queen Tamari's tower still lives there from 11th century. It makes the village more because as gem on crown. Holy church even makes the village so delicate and powerful. In Koruldi I had an amazing hiking experience ever in my life . Read moreGorgeous area! We made the Mestia - Ushguli hiking trip in 4 days in June. Unbelievable nature, villages and people. Like you are getting back in time. There are parts of the trip with steep climbs or crossing river on horseback but it is pure fun. Plenty of guesthouses are in the villages with nice people offering unique local experience and foods. If you have not been close to a glacier and can hike 6 km up and down a forest trail that leads to a rocky path, then a trip to Mestia in Svaneti, is the place to go.
