Lisi Lake, located in the northern part of Tbilisi, is a beautiful and peaceful destination that offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and although it's a bit outside the city center, getting there was straightforward. You can take a bus that stops near the park, though you’ll need to walk a little to reach the entrance. If you prefer a more active approach, there’s a bike rental shop nearby where you can rent bikes for about 10 GEL per hour. Alternatively, you can walk for about 20 minutes from the main road to the park, which is quite pleasant and gives you a chance to enjoy the surrounding nature.

Once inside the park, I was greeted with scenic views of the lake, which makes for an idyllic setting. The area around Lisi Lake is well-maintained, and there’s a relaxed vibe with plenty of space to unwind. A few food stalls are scattered around, which is convenient if you’re in the mood for a snack. I decided to grab a waffle yogurt ice cream from the "Lolly" stall. While it was a bit on the expensive side (around 34 GEL for two), it was a nice treat. I wouldn’t call it extraordinary, but it was a pleasant indulgence, and sometimes it's worth splurging a little when you're out enjoying a peaceful afternoon.

The park itself offers a variety of activities for visitors. You can simply sit by the lake and enjoy the natural surroundings, as I did, soaking in the sun and watching people feed the ducks. It's a very laid-back atmosphere, ideal for those looking to relax and enjoy nature without the crowds. The views of the lake, combined with the tranquil setting, make it a perfect spot for an afternoon escape. Whether you're into leisurely walks, quiet reflection, or just enjoying a snack, the place has something to offer.

I took a leisurely stroll around the lake and found it to be a great spot for a peaceful walk. The pathways are well-paved and easy to navigate, making it ideal for a relaxed walk or a light bike ride. The surrounding greenery adds to the charm, and it’s hard not to appreciate the serenity of the area. It’s also a family-friendly place, with many people bringing their children and pets for a day out. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and leave the busy city life behind for a few hours.

All in all, Lisi Lake is a wonderful place to visit if you're looking for a peaceful, scenic escape. While the food and activities might not be groundbreaking, the setting and atmosphere make it worthwhile. Whether you’re visiting for a short walk, a relaxing day by the lake, or just to grab a snack, it’s a nice spot to spend a few hours. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tbilisi who wants to enjoy some time in nature, away from the...

Lake at the periphery of the city with 3 kilometers of cycling track is a good getaway during weekends from busy city life. There is boating and bicycle rental available. Although there are signs everywhere forbidding fishing or swimming but I saw people during exactly the opposite.

Taxi from freedom square would be 6 to 8 lari. If you have your own car, you can park for 3 lari in designated parking places.

There are few kiosks selling candy, ice cream, coffee, water and beer. Hard Rock Cafe also has a small cafe here. The place has good vibes and fun spot for family picnic. There are lots of birds and scenic spots which offers opportunities for photography.

There is only one public toilet in the entire area located at the entrance which is a bit of...

Lake Lisi is one of the best places in Tbilisi for outdoor recreation. Often we rise with family and friends in the summer.

One of the advantages is nature, you can easily have a picnic, play badminton, go for a swim. The air is much cleaner compared to the city. Location - 20, 30 minutes by car maximum. The infrastructure is improving every year, there is a little boulevard that takes over the lake and whatnot.

Cons - during the peak season there is practically no free places (based on the advantages). Not enough developed parking. It would be more interesting and attractive if there were more entertaining - preventive procedures.

Advice - get up in the morning when there are fewer people.

Very nice place for walking or cycling around the lake. Specially in the morning time when there’s not a lot of people yet. There a good quality line around the lake, where you can walk, run, cycle and etc…. Line around is a bit more than 3,5km long. Views are nice, place is calm. Nature is good. There are some sitting places around, cafes, a restaurant, donuts and some more. There’s a lot of parking here. Paid and free, but It’s hard to find parking on warm weather weekends. Specially summertime. If you want to relax, slowly walk with your friends, change atmosphere after a city traffic jams or even have a dinner with lake views, this place is for you.
