Von (mindestens) 1381 bis 1790 befand sich dort ein Hof mit Brunnenanlage und Hirtenhaus. 1790 wurde der Hof "von einer Räuberbande überfallen und niedergebrannt" (Quelle: Wikipedia). Seither ist alles zerfallen. Man findet nur noch eine Hausecke wieder sowie ein paar Steine des unteren Sockels. Der Pfälzerwald-Verein hat unweit einen Gedenkstein postiert. --- Wer gesundheitliche Probleme hat (alters- oder krankheitsbedingt) kann den durchgehend ebenen Weg vom 'Schlagbaum' über die Hofruine und die Pfälzerwaldverein-Hütte bis hin zum Parkplatz Weilach...
