Roter Turm — Attraction in Bad Wimpfen

Very interesting history of this tower. Built in the 12th century with a red tiled roof, hence the name of the tower. The tower was almost completely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War and then restored almost to its original form. In the early Middle Ages it was considered the last place where the king or emperor would hold the defense. And therefore there was also a dining room, pharmacy, a fireplace, and so on....

Very nice view from the top! We paid only 2€ per person and visited small museum that leads to the top of the tower with this amazing view...
