Very nice gardens if you visit outside of winter season, early spring the blossoming of the cherry trees is nice as well. The castle inside is completely modern so don't expect a "middle age" castle experience (this was a let down for me). The museum itself may be interesting for someone who is attracted to contemporary art specially the work of Joseph Beuys (it's all about him) personally It is not my style. They exploit a lot the meetings between the Prussian emperor and Voltaire that took place here but there is no actual mementos about it just non-specific stories and a drawing collection that tries to mix this with Joseph Beuys (a bit of a long shot if you ask me). Also there is not much information about the uses of the castle during WWII which would have been more interesting a in my opinion, even Churchill was here once and all there is is a picture. What I found most enjoyable was the ascend and view from the North tower, you get a lovely view where you can see the bridge towards Emmerich Bedburg Hau and Kleve, plus it's an...

A very beautiful castle and park/garden. From the outside a wonderful tourism attraction, especially during the Christmas time with the markets.

But the museum in the inside of the castle is the most terrible collection of arts I’ve ever seen. Ugly sculptures, meaningless photos and hideous paintings.

Definitely not worth to pay the admission, except you want to enjoy climbing up the tower and see a 360-view over the whole area. But the arts exhibition was the worst of its kind that ever crossed my way. And I saw enough exhibitions to advise not to...

Incredibly amazing gardens around the museum. Free parking. There is an tourist information point at the entrance. Then you should buy tickets. Tickets for museum and gardens sold seperately. You should mention it. While you are buying tickets they provide discount vouchers to use at the cafe inside. At the museum mostly contemporary art is exhibited. In family room there is an virtual reality computer game. The tree houses and the drawbridge are a nice playground outside for the kids. There is also a zip line. The botanical gardens are definitely...

Very beautiful castle, gorgeous garden, super nice place to walk around and enjoy the nature, but inside of castle is disappointing. New modern art museum inside, totally not my style and some artist's skupture exhibition, not very beautiful. We went to that castle with expectation to see how was castle hundreds years ago, how people lived, how it looked like, to feel that spirit. Inside is completely white everything renovated, feel like normal building. 😕
